You are putting IMT along with IIM A,B,C and ISB? IMT is also a tier 2 institute.
Yep.
depends on at what point in experience they are looking for an mba. 0-4yrs is good considering the initial growth to be mediocre. but if growth has been good and exp is over 5yrs then it does not make sense to go for a 2 yrs MBA, roi wont be satisfactory.

If it's online or part time ROI is 0. If full time ROI will be minus as their avg salaries mostly are less than what you are earning.
If you get into 1 year full time program at TOP 3 IIM's you can expect salary of above 40l. Fees will be around 27lakhs. So you can calculate yourself.

Sir i know. Op has 8 yoe and I said he can expect 40. Each of those words have a meaning. Please read what i wrote and not what you have in your mind.
This year IIM C for eg, median was 27. There where people with 18lakhs and also people who got 1cr. But for someone with 8 yoe with core IT exp, they can certainly expect 40.
For Tier 2 b-schools, the median fee is around 20 lacs and the packages range around 12-15 lpa. But people also switch. So in a time frame of 3-4 years, the ROI looks positive enough.
I did my MBA from SCMHRD, Pune in Business Analytics. Fee and other expenses for the 2 years were roughly 17
lakhs.
1st job out of MBA - 10 Lpa (previously it was 4.2 pre-MBA)
Promoted within the first job next year - 12 Lpa
Job switch after promotion - 25 Lpa.
So I was able to break even roughly after 2.5 years. Same goes for most of my batchmates
Being in tech helps a lot
I was also at 25 lpa after 4 YoE, without any MBA, by making switches and promotions.
I believe the only thing I may hinder at, in the long run, would be at getting managerial positions as easily as an MBA grad.
With pre-mba exp of 5+ yrs and then salary of around 7L, did a 1 yr Full time mba for 9L fees + 50 k living expenses and got placed at 12L. Had the best RoI but this was around 7yrs back and from one of the colleges listed in OP's excluded list.
Did my MBA from XIMB in 2019 (Pre MBA work ex- 2.5 years)
Loan - 17
Offer at campus- 12.5 LPA
Current CTC- 19 LPA
Switching at - 32 LPA + 3.25 JB
Personally, it worked out. MBA gave me proper career path in the first couple of years, and now I am finally able to get the monetary benefit of that.

Switching to Cognizant Consulting
I can speak about GLIM-Chennai. People in our batch had 8+ years of experience as well. From a monetary perspective it might not make sense but then MBA is more of an investment in your intellectual capital and networking rather than just the CTC numbers. If you leverage your skills well and can look beyond the initial package, you can get far.
To put things into perspective, I had 5 years of work-ex(pre-MBA) and below are the stats.
Campus Offer - 13F + 10% variable + 1.5 JB
1st Appraisal ( within 11 months) - 15 F + 10% variable
1st Switch(within 15 months) - 27 F + 3 variable + 4 stocks.
So, if you are confident of your pre-MBA skill set and can leverage that post-MBA you can take the plunge. If, however, you are looking at the course from a monetary ROI only, look nothing beyond IIM A/B/C or ISB or International programs.
