So far I have collected all the salaries I could find on payscale, LinkedIn, Glassdoor.

It’s raise and promotion season… how are we feeling??

Currently going through some negations on an internal role. I’m currently at 88k and they offered me 100k for a position that requires a lot more work. Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?

I have my annual review coming up and want to hear thoughts on what a reasonable raise expectation is. I report to the COO and currently make $94k + up to 10% annual bonus based on company hitting their revenue goal + I have 3000 stock options. I recently switched job and joined another B4 firm. As part of the hiring I was promised with a sign on bonus. Now I have received the sign on bonus twice, in back to back paychecks. I know I have to somehow return the second bonus to the firm. Does anyone know how taxes work on this? As both the bonuses were tax deducted prior to deposit, when I return amount do I need to pay back the withheld taxes to the firm as well? Asking as the amount is big and don’t want to go in the IRS route. TIA.

New/pivoting into HR! 👋 Currently working as a TA Coord with a little entry level work in HR Ops prior to this. Is there a SHRM link, reliable test, or method of shadowing the various parts of HR that will provide a sample of the work, thinking, and day to day experience of each group? I didn’t go to school for HR and therefore haven’t had the opportunity to sample HR Ops. vs. TA vs. Comp vs. Benefits vs. Payroll, etc. I know work experience is the best barometer, but what can supplement this?

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).
