anyone looking to case today?
So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

For those that stopped drinking completely, did you have to get a whole new friend group? I want to stop but all my friends are wild as hell!

You have time for friends?

On Fridays I’ll have a glass or two of wine and then maybe go to brunch or to a bar once every few weeks. Definitely very different from law school & don’t miss waking up hungover having lost half the weekend laying around feeling gross and sorry for myself
Not enough

How do people drink much in biglaw? I’m only 25, but more than two drinks has me a bit hungover the next day and unable to focus. I can’t imagine spending my entire weekend hungover instead of resting.
Anywho, I rarely have more than 2-3 drinks maybe one night per week.

I think I began developing a drinking problem in late 2019 - Occasionally I’d drink so much at happy hours/etc. on Thursdays I’d be simply unable to come in on Friday morning and I’d go in at 1PM. After a certain seniority people stop caring if you’re actually in the office 9-5, but it was scary.
The pandemic put an abrupt end to that, and I’m thankful.

What does everyone have against drinking at home 😂

It’s cool at first but then I’m like “I’m drunk, what am I going to do with this”
A friend of mine once told me, alcohol is both the cause of and solution to all of my problems.
Echoing SA1. Before the pandemic I was getting absolutely blasted every weekend, but never drank on weekdays. Used to go out to about 2-3am at clubs on Friday or Saturday. Now I have a GF and pandemic has meant no parties, so I barely drink at all. Probably once every two weeks and even then it’s only a glass or two of red. Very dramatic change of lifestyle that’s for sure. It’s been good not spending half the weekend hungover and dreading Mondays because my body hasn’t had any rest.
I have a glass of wine a few weeknights a week, then two on weekend nights (occasionally three). Sometimes I’ll drink during the day on a weekend at a bbq or something but then I won’t have anything at night.
Whenever I go out to dinner. So probably once a week. I don’t drink in my house.
None during the week and 1-4 on Fridays and Saturdays. Ever since the pandemic, I developed a 4 drink max. Apparently I’m a ~social~ drinker 🤷🏼♀️
I don't like getting drunk so only one or two drinks when out or with friends (I avoid drinking alone).

I used to drink a lot pre-pandemic (would go out and get trashed every weekend). Now I don’t drink at all.
