IDK what your credentials are and who you want to work with. I recently learned that some schools are hiring mental health professionals to work with school employees if that's interesting to you. We work with some contracting agencies who do primarily online meetings. That might allow you to work from home.
Please hear me out on this last one. SpEd transitions, life skills 18 to 21, or 22 in many states now. This is where I work. People have an idea that it's really difficult because we're working with adult versions of the younger kids in special ed. Unless it's poorly managed, this could not be less true. Once they get out of the toxic high school environment, the arbitrary rules and expectations are gone and they're doing something meaningful where they feel successful it's easy. It's extremely rare that I deal with a dangerous behavior issue. Seeing students become successful in the community is enormously rewarding.
Just the other day a former student helped me at the hardware store where he works. I placed him there years ago as a volunteer and now he's a paid employee. I'm pretty good with things like tools and maintenance and he knows things that I don't know. He helped me find a solution to something I was working on.
Have you tried switching to private school? Or even tutoring part-time on your own?
Try for a lower grade band of students or try daycare settings. I hope you're documenting these behaviors in your school and with the principal too.
