Is it true that AFS doesn’t allow people to start with a positive PTO balance?

I have a part time babysitter who is also a student. Do I still pay her if so go on vacation for 2 weeks ?

I’m not good at planning vacations and have never really gone somewhere without having a reason to be there (ie. work, family, etc). How do you folks plan a trip, and, I know it varies by location, but what’s a good amount of money to set aside for vacation? Thanks, trying to learn how to unplug better.

PTO Tip: Take PTO the last 2 weeks of November and December. Also take the1st week of January. Unlikely you get picked up the first weeks of December and holidays aren't PTO days #thetwoforonespecial

1. There isn't any mention of variable in the offer letter. Is that common in EY GDS?

2. They have given him the designation of Sr. Security Consultant 1 ( Rank 42). Want to check if that's okay for someone with 7 years of experience.

I have two offers - one is from an AM 200 and the other is from a boutique. Got offer as IT IA manager (at retailer) that I’ve accepted for mid July. Base pay will be 120k, curent salary is 99k (7.5 yoe). comes with 10k sign on bonus, a yearly 12.5% bonus if compny meets target, up to 25%. TC could be up to 150k, working 40~45hrs. Having 2nd thoughts about leaving and company trying to retain me with an option to move to cyber (and a retention bonus, TBD) Would asking for a higher base pay rather than bonus be an option? Is it bad to decline an offer after accepting?
