Wow that’s not ok at all. Sorry that happened to you. My interviews at FAANG were always super professional and friendly.
If you really feel like you were treated wrongly, reach out to HR. You can also leave your review on glassdoor which they heavily monitor.
Actually I have shared my feedback with HR. But they said they will share it with the team and improve the experience in future. Not sure what more to tell
Usually the technical interviews are performed by people from the tech team you are applying for.
But that may not happen each time. My recommendation is to wait a few months and try again
This happened to my brother in the final round, but ultimately got the offer anyways. Not at all representative of the culture at google, but for some reason people who interview sometimes are jerks for no reason at all. Whether or not this person has a DS doesn’t matter, because clearly it wasn’t about your expertise in the subject matter.
Was definitely disappointed and never expected from Google
For DS, you interview with people outside of the role as a standard process. Sorry the interviewer was a jerk. Unfortunately recruiters can't control their behavior. That said, a decision to move forward is rarely based in one bad (or good) interview. My assumption here is that more than one interview didn't go well. I wish you the best next time.
Fingers crossed for the next time
My Google interview for Software Engineering was a good experience even though I screwed up the coding rounds. Interviewer were really helpful. They were from EU region.
On a separate note, I applied for EY data scientist role through a recruiter .
What type of interview should I expect. Any help would be appreciated
They don't have an online coding round. So there is only one technical round where they will test your coding and then managerial round that's it
How did you apply in google? By referral or carrier page
