Hi fishes,
I heard the news that 1800 people is going to be layoff in the first round at pwc US+AC. I was thinking of taking my resignation back since the offers I got are not offering a good hike, it's less than 20% hike. So I was thinking of taking the resignation back. But considering this news, should I take resignation back or not. Please advise.

Layoffs are common in PWC. They laid off people last year as well.

I had similar experience in previous company during covid. If you take back resignation and they are already finding reasons to layoff people they can target you anytime as you have resigned before already and you might not get good rating too. Also after layoff I feel pwc environment wont be the same and there will be lot of pressure. Also hike and bonus may not be applicable this year. I would advise you to switch if you already have offer in hand to avoid all the risk.

You can take back if your domain is doing good at PwC. Layoffs are very less in number and mainly from P&T and some teams of advisory. 20% is definitely not worth a switch.
