PwC : About the 5% raise: I'm a new hire (joined last week 1/10) and don't see the 1/15 raise reflected in my comp, does this mean new hires didn't qualify? Did yours update yet?
Any tips for advocating for yourself at work? I'm way overdue for a raise but I am not generally great at standing up for myself, speaking assertively, or inserting myself where I feel I might be impolite or pushy.
Anyone else in midlaw not get a bonus, raise or even a fucking COL adjustment? Or is that just me? 100+ attorney firm located in Silicon Valley. Time to polish up that resume….
Is now an ok time to quit and find a new job or is it a pretty flooded market? My company hasn’t given me a raise in years and I’m being paid 40% less than what newly hired producers at my level at making
I recently received variance in snapshot to DTE hours, saying I need to raise additional snapshots to cover 80% of DTE hours, but the performance snapshot window is closed now. Any idea how to proceed with this?
Can anyone give perspective on percent raises for a senior 1 to senior 2 (Advisory, specifically DDnA I’m chicago)? What should have been the appropriate % for raise?
Went for a promotion this year, didn’t get it. I should next year, barring something catastrophic happens. If I leave for another big 4 now, about 20% pay hike, plus higher title. Ultimate goal is to
If I am being marketed in proposals as a senior and being referred to on engagements as “our senior staff” but I am only a staff, can I use this to leverage an early promotion to senior?
Hi everyone! I am promoting my NFT collection with an Instagram page, but I have some doubts regarding IG algorithm. As far as I know, replying to comments etc increases visibility, as it looks like it has more interaction. However, I have many bots that automatically comments immediately every post telling me to DM them for promotion. How should I treat them? Should I reply something, or ignore them or block them? Not sure how IG algorithm would evaluate interacting with bots
I recently moved out of my apartment complex 2 weeks ago and ended my lease early because I had to move for work. The leasing office calls me today and said they “forgot” to bill me for a $1200 rent concession I received when I first moved in (First Month free rent promotion). After looking the lease, I found the clause but I really don’t want to pay especially when they made the mistake on not billing me and are just now following up 2 weeks later. Advice? Ideas? Similar situations?
Does anyone have any insight to the prospective salary of a senior marketing science analyst at PHD media? Gauging to see if it's worth staying after a promotion vs looking elsewhere.
Started new job at a non-F500 (CorpDev) this week (got offered +45% over my previous base). Received an offer today from EY, which is +35% over my current base. I kinda like the CorpDev gig more and have very little motivation to join EY (that particular team). Can I still use their offer to pump up my current base here at the non-F500? How can I ask for a raise and not set wrong impression so early on?
Would you rather get big raises when firm does well and no raise in a bad year or get similar raises each year?
How do to get a free upgrade from hertz sfo?
Diversity & Inclusiveness is hollow talk. If you are an Indian, Chinese or Black your chances of being a PP are pretty limited- ED is more feasible. Agree?

Am trying to switch into tech transformation or strategy from implementation, as it aligns more with my experience. Anyone able to give a referral to another Big 4 who has this offering??
I’m a new manager and am trying to get off a client. Need guidance if I should do it. I work with a very nice senior manager who is up for partner. She gave me a very decent review. The client is horrible though. Piecemeal review comments, constant updates workpapers and last minute changes. The only good thing is working with this senior manager. She is also my counselor. I asked her to get off of this account, and she said the firm probably won’t allow it. I have another senior manager I work
First time in a really long time that there's no line for TSA PreCheck. Guess the other road warriors are on vacation.
The guy next to me on my flight just used his Deloitte corporate card to buy WiFi on his Deloitte laptop and how he’s reviewing an offer letter for a job from PwC. What an inspiration
Do you think smaller public accounting firms would pay someone with manager/director big 4 experience to come in as an outside coach/consultant to coach and mentor their seniors and associates? Maybe if the pay structure was conditional to only if the consultant could improve retention rates or some other metric? Thanks!
Help me evaluate an industry offer for a B4 manager up for SM (got confirmation that I am thru the process). Current base is $171k . $180k base, $35k sign-on bonus, full relocation, 35% bonus - 20% cash and 15% equity - 15% equity bonus is assured forever with 3 year vesting. Cash bonus fixed as long as rated average. Overall happy with offer but want to evaluate it against possible growth if I stay at B4.
After a hard reset on travel points (got none after Covid and change to industry) how would you start over? Which credit card is best for travel points? Airline? Starwood or Bonvoy? Avis or ?? At one time I had status on most airlines and hotels but I never bothered to focus on accumulating points since it seemed like they were infinite and I booked on convenience. Oh have times changed! I even let go of Amex platinum, just wasn’t worth it to me. Base airport LAX/SNA so no airline pref.
A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.
Why is everyone so against talking to Uber drivers? I enjoy talking to them, nice to get away from corporate culture as well.
