What are good questions to ask the interviewer that don't come off as generic in order to get a better understanding or insights about the company structure and culture. For example, I hate tell me about the company's culture or do you feel the company values a good work - life balance.

In your perspective, what age is ideal for a man to get married? Similarly, what’s the ideal age for women. I know it depends, but if you had to say a rule of thumb and generalize.

Anyone willing to share some best resources (books, podcasts, etc) for imposture syndrome? For awareness, I am a white women in HR. Always struggled with confidence but experienced some brutal/toxic management with my HR role with a bad business partner (now in a new role), and I am continuing to struggle with my confidence. Appreciate resources that are “self-help”. Also considering a therapist but hoping to also own the process myself for quicker “recovery”. TIA!

Joined companyB with 10lpa and left at 10lpa(11 months)
Joined companyC with 18.8lpa ( currently working here for 7 months)
I was approached by my Manager from companyA and he has asked me if i am interested to join his team. ( He is now working for a different organisation as sr. Manager) . They are okay with 25lpa + compensation
Should I consider this opportunity or is it too early to switch again

Can you deduct 50% of a home office if you use it 50% for business and 50% for W-2 work?

I know you can deduct a portion of a room if only a portion is used for business, but what about splitting expenses based on usage instead of area?

I have heard WLB is not good in Deloitte India and Job Security is not good in Cognizant.

My firm has me on a reduced schedule where I only work 4 days a week. Although it comes with reduce pay, I’ve never had more time to help with shabbous prep

For the first time in my entire professional career, not only has my company not bothered to look at a calendar when planning things, but they scheduled a major meeting *on* Yom Kippur. Uhhh...I've worked a bunch of places and this has never been an issue. Lack of foresight or genuine not giving a shit about employees? (Not talking Sukkot here, but Major High Holyday that even the most non-observant acknowledge because Day of Atonement, you know?) Anyone else?

Should probably start Chanukah shopping soon, huh?

How was everyone’s Pesach? I went to an Orthodox seder at my rabbi’s home on night one that was surprisingly really fun, and then hosted a humanist (non-religious) seder at my home. It was a good mix!
