I'm a Senior Android Developer with 7 yrs work ex, and got laid off. Not getting relevant calls since many months. I feel my position has become stagnant as I'm mid-senior level and companies cannot afford it now, instead they can hire juniors.Is the technology becoming outdated? If so what should I switch to which will be easy to learn for an Android Developer, which can pay good.

Tried to convince current company but they are not ready to release until 31jan2022.
1. I'm thinking to convince Next company again to let me get into Next company. how to convince them if they are not ready to wait.
2. Otherwise What would be there if I leave current company straightaway?

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up.
