I just picked up a new freelance gig after coming out (again 😮‍💨) but professionally and they're really respecting my pronouns! They did a whole thing where they're having people add their pronouns to their email signature too 🥰

They never make a deal out of it and if they mess up they correct and move right along. They're from the Midwest and some of the team is older too so its really nice 😅

Recently a high powered individual scolded me for killing a tone deaf pride idea, because I said, “As an lgbtq person, I feel ____.” Allegedly that phrasing wouldn’t allow others to feel like they could state their opinions on the idea. I was extremely upset but didn’t want to burn a bridge so I listened to their feedback and tried to let it go. But I haven’t really let it go - it was demoralizing and insulting...and quite frankly I’m angry I let them get away with it. What would you do?
