Hi Gartner I'm someone who is considering joining Gartner, but before I do, I wanted to understand how flexible Gartner is with respect to the work mode. Is there too much strictness and emphasis on working from office, or are they planning to implement stricter policies in this regard?

It really depends on your team. For example, Sales comes in every day whereas some IT teams mostly WFH. They are only required to come in when leaders etc. come or an event takes place. Most teams work in Hybrid mode, frequenting office 2-3 days a week. Gartner used to a “Virtual First” company, now that’s not the case. Regardless, I don’t think a company-wide return to office is in the works. Maybe someone from HR could shed more light on this.

If you’re referring to the Secondary Research Services (SRS) Market Research team, they come in at least twice a week on specific days and their leadership is pretty particular about that.
