I have chronic health issues and I’m severely depressed. I can’t even get myself to work anymore. If I don’t quit, I’m in serious danger of being fired. I feel that I need to just quit and take time off to get better but feel that it will be a stain on my career. I’m a pretty junior lawyer. Any advice. I just can’t do any work at all and I’m my anxiety and depression is spiraling out of control. I see a therapist I try to cope and it’s not working.

What would you do if you didn’t need money? I have a fair amount coming one day and don’t actually need to work to live a good life (middle / upper-middle class). I work because of this vague notion of “ambition” and because everyone I grew up around is highly competitive and hard driving. I just feel unhappy so often and am wondering what this is all leading to. Scared I’m wasting my life being unhappy / in turmoil cause it’s what my culture wants me to do.

Hi Fishes, I cleared an AVP role in JP, Hyderabad. I'm currently at 22 LPA and JP is offering a 45% on this. I have 17 years of experience and 13 years association with Deloitte. I was put into PIP in my first company. I believed my manager said that it's only for improvement. I signed it. Later realized it's a termination plan. So I quit the company. But after 5 years I got a call from my First company HR for another role, I was happy to take that opportunity. But later HR called me and said they couldn't proceed for some reason.
