Hi guys, just had a genuine query about pay. Currently studying finance in Belfast and will be graduating soon, I want a gauge on the pay.

Some people say entry level is £28k while others say you get 23/24.

Personally, after all this hard work to start off earning 23k is a let down for me.

Could someone expand on how much post grads get paid in finance in belfast?

Just got notified that my YE 3 was downgraded to a 4 because I'm looking to relocate and the partners think I'll be on the beach for a while. I thought the ratings were for last year, not projections.

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

Anyone have similar experiences or do I just suck at executive stakeholder management?

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Anything in finance more challenging/less box-checking? People have recommended public but I’m not interested in audit/tax or travel.
