I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. I am asked during this RE analyst interview to build a real estate model from scratch. My background is commercial banking and I am used to analyzing real estate deals from the lender side not the developer. The interviewer is generous I must say he’s giving me a few days to complete. However this model is for a ground up multifamily development. I have no prior experience building one. I can find models online but all very complexe to reproduce. How would you handle? I have worked as data engineer in service based companies and mostly worked on informatica and IBM datastage , SQL, Teradata currently doing trainings on python and GCP. I need guidance on how/where to prepare for typical data engineering profile to crack interviews in Faang/Maang or other good product based companies.
Main problem is I can learn many things but due to lack of hands on experience in the Cloud technologies
