How do they know if you are in the office or not? Are they checking for badge scan in times specifically for people on the bench? There is literally 10 people in the Gilbert office on average when I go in every couple of weeks..This doesn’t sound right at all..reach out to your coach as well if u as well if u haven’t already
Unfortunately unless you are fully remote (a small group people in USDC) you can’t stay at home without a project.
D1 pretty sure these are older guidelines. Now we have folks working hybrid too (from non USDC cities). Also, what’s the point of being in office if most people are wfh? The point of being in the office when on bench is to n/w with people. That’s clearly not going to happen here.
I have not heard of this either! Was there communication that went out about this? What city are you based in?
On a side note, props to you for being able to work at home with an 11mo old! Couldn’t imagine doing both.
Thanks ! Yes I will follow up but thought to get some suggestions here in prior
I was just on the bench in May and worked remote the whole time. I’ve never heard of having to be in office on the bench? I agree with everyone else’s question: What OP are you?
Your OP is CBO
Wow. When did this change take place? This is the first I’m hearing of it. What work area are you? (WT, OT, etc)
I am new to Deloitte so not aware of these terms completely but i am from CBO Cloud engineering and Offering Portfolio as DC
yes thats the norm . you need to sit in office while on bench . yry to get into a project sooner anyways
Any updates?
I’ve been on the bench for 8 weeks and haven’t been to the office once.
Every OP is different with bench protocols. Talk to your coach first to ask questions, then circle back to the RM. Just some more insight, demand is low in most OPs at the moment and bench protocol decks and emails have always been in place but with the very high demand we had since 2020 everyone go away from them. The decks and slides that are being sent sometimes aren’t the most up to date versions since we haven’t used them much. This could be a simple misunderstanding. Just talk to your coach and even if it is the ‘policy’ the firm has worked with many others in your situation and will help to find what works for you and for the center.
This sounds absurd and this is the first time I am hearing of it. I have been on the bench for 6 weeks now and haven't been asked to come in at all. What practice are you a part of?
Which offering are you from. I work very closely with RM.. I have not heard anything like this
