Getting released from a project? Well, here’s the reality.

once you’re in, your fate is sealed tighter than a mystery novel. Before stepping to project, you had the luxury of two rejections—a privilege.

But once you're inside, the only escape routes are:
1.The project magically deciding it doesn’t need you anymore.
2.Budget constraints
3.The project shutting down completely
4.Ask for a release by learning new technologies and IJP switch
5.you underperform, not only might you be shown the door from the project, but sometimes, you could even be escorted out of the entire organization

Getting released isn’t exactly in your hands—more like a cosmic alignment of unfortunate events. Not only in LTIM, its the same in all the MNC's

Welcome to LTIMindtree !! Getting released from a project is a pain in LTIM.
Managers aren't helpful at all and they won't even support your view in case you ask them for an early release citing your concerns. Anyway what you can try is :
- work for couple of months (provided you are familiar with the tech stack) and then ask for the release if you still feel uncomfortable.
- reach out to the Manager and tell him/her that you aren't comfortable with the tech and need proper KT sessions, else you won't be able to perform.

If KT is not provided then first take the conversation on email, drop an email to your mentors or seniors or the person in charge and keep the manager in cc. Meanwhile try to study on your own and request for the KT in the scrum meetings as well. Whenever you feel confusion due to KT issue, raise it. Also if there is any delay keep dropping a reminder over the mail. Also remember that chats won’t be helping you in such cases. Release won’t solve your problem as you don’t know how the other team would be. If the team is not helpful better take the discussion on mail so you wont get blamed and then you can show the conversation if you get questioned in your new project

If you have client interview try to get fail in client interview to get release. If you don't have one than it is very difficult. If you are billed the organisation wants you to be billed because it is profitable for them if the client wants to release some resources than performance come into picture.

Client interview never happened.

As i said i would be difficult.

It's almost impossible but there is one thing you can try.

As the colleague's in your project are not doing their work that is giving you proper KT which is creating issues for you.
You also need to do the same that is don't do your work whatever is assigned to you and create issues for them, you need to play "I am dumb" and you need to do it asap.
Because if the manager or lead realised that u are technical fit they will never release you, and they will blame you for incompetence when you will fail the deadline of tasks. This Idea might sound stupid but this works and don't worry about layoffs, as you are a new hire they will not layoff in most cases but they will try to assign in different projects.

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?
