Not sure what you mean by deal breaker. Whoever is coming to your wedding is coming and probably doesn’t even know about this until they get there. How much they complain about it afterwards depends on how all this is executed. No one is going to come to your wedding see the tram and be like “nah I’m just gonna peace out of here”. I could see this potentially being annoying but it’s your day do what you want.
it sounds like it could be very fun - especially with music, refreshment, and an attraction that ties the space to the event - this can be anything from light passed hors doeuvres themed around the wedding or climbing the mountain, a 'mountain' martini lounge, or even someone doing chainsaw ice carving outside.

It will be memorable and a good way to make it a group experience. Go with it
Your wedding sounds like it’s going to be a super-fun, memorable experience and serving guests drinks while they wait for the next tram is a fantastic intro to the day.
I’m definitely sold on the idea (as are others). Your fiancé needs to stop worrying and get on board. Congrats on the upcoming day!

Continued: I actually think this could be a fun and memorable experience, but my fiancé isn’t totally sold. Do you think this setup is a dealbreaker for guests—or could it add to the charm? How would you personally feel about it?
I should mention this is like this because 100 cars cannot go up at the top of the mountain.
The first round of guests would sit down immediately to wait for the ceremony and the second round will then come up and sit.
How is that a catch? Idk what the issue is here

I think it’s really cool and memorable! Having a mountaintop wedding is cool by itself but taking a ski tram to the ceremony and reception? Even better.
I think drinks on both sides are a must because I would be annoyed if I was the 47th person and had to wait 30 mins for the tram to come back. But, if people are drinking and chatting it just makes it a cool story. I vote yes.
How does your finance expect people to get up the mountain? Sherpas?
I find it cool and unique
I’ve been to something similar. Guests rode a ski lift up to the top. It was definitely the most unique wedding venue I was ever at. I’m also a skier, so it was interesting riding the lift in the summer in fancy clothes! There is always a weather risk with outdoor weddings, but I suggest it’s worth it. Good luck and have a great wedding!
