If I am a S&O C going up for early promo to SC this year, how detrimental do you think it would be for me to be on a pure human capital project from July-March? I have previous S&O experience.

I’ve been a mid-level manager (Sr Operations Manager) for the last three years. Been in my industry for 10 years. I feel I have plateaued in my career path. I’m trying to promote to a Director of Operations role in house and looking at outside opportunities as well. I feel like it’s taken longer to obtain this position than my previous roles. My husband and I just went through a few very difficult months. His mother passed after an aggressive disease and struggle, we had another family member pass, Covid, political climate, +. Just under the surface we are so sad. We have a very easy baby but a young child is still demanding. We are not motivated to work and I can’t figure out how to return to “normal.” I am not pulling my weight at work and generally can’t imagine being motivated like I was. Please send advice.
