My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

For M2 it’ll be anywhere between £48-60k including including £5k cash benefits I imagine. I’d say a work-life balance can exist, you just have to set the boundaries yourself.
Hard to say what the work could be like, keep in mind Deloitte do a lot of resource augmentation and you could end up doing a range of things from project management, process & controls design, to working on a managed service doing quite administrative work. I also work in public sector and probably see my clients doing more interesting work than what we’re contracted for, but that’s just me!

How did you get a manager level with only 3 YOE
Pro
Advisory M = Consulting SC = Deloitte M2 grade
I have 3.5 YOE and have a direct report who I have been line managing for 1.5 years
The recruiter said we may offer M2 but it’s going through internal approval first - they could come back with a lower grade as well
The post I applied for said “Assistant manager to manager level & would consider director for the right candidates”
I’m also interviewing for a Senior Consulting role. However there may be a chance for internal promotion coming up to so I’m completely torn about what to do. Unsure whether to seek new opportunity or stay? Is the grass greener?
Thanks that’s really helpful, do you travel to client site quite often? Or is it mainly remote working?
