For someone who wants to become a business analyst without a degree - What skills would need to be learnt? Does having a degree make any difference? And also, what does it take from moving from a business development role into becoming a business analyst at the same firm? How long would it take? I'm currently in a business development role within a software firm it hasn't been 6 months yet and want to progress into becoming a business analyst as fast as possible.

I’ve been at a job for a few months and hate it - partners set unrealistic deadlines, micromanage, and create work that truly is not necessary/push urgency when there is no real urgency. I had other offers prior to accepting this job that may still be options, and going back to my old job (for a pay cut) might also be an option. I can’t tell if this is just burnout, growing pains, or just an untenable work environment. Would you ride it out for a year at new job or pursue other options? HELP!

-95k base, no bonus, better benefits.
-Booz Allen Hamilton
-Senior Consultant.
-Similar position to now, better progression.

Role 2.
-95k base, 16% bonus, good benefits.
-National grocery chain.
-Slightly different role: more admin / training others / governance / custom coding connectors, etc.
