I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

For PE, usually post MBA roles are given to those who have prior experience in the domain, either via consulting or via PE gigs. VC is more flexible. You can pivot to Startups and take up more strategic roles, and eventually recruit for VC.
“Easiest” course of action - go for an MBA either in India at IIM ABC or ISB, get a gig in Mckinsey Bain or BCG, and then pivot to PE/VC.
Another route is by pursuing a CFA, then pivoting to investment banking, and then switching to PE/VC

Any openings for B.Tech Freshers who wants to break into PE?

Usually the entire industry doesn’t hire freshers. Most Analysts have experience in Finance/Consulting and not coding.
Does MBA help in pivoting? If so, what do u suggest? India or Abroad?
I am interested, I have an experience of 3 yrs in private equity, can u share the details.

I’m not the recruiter, nor am I at the firm the opening is for. Reach out to the mail I’ve mentioned if you fit the criteria
