Looking for advice on how to move into advisory and if it’s recommended as the primary caregiver for 2 young children in regards to WLB. I have been in financial services audit for 5 years and it really isn’t a fit for my personality. Have a BS in accounting and CPA, do I need to go back for an MBA?

We’re hiring at CFGI in advisory. Mostly wfh depending on client. DM me and I can refer you.

All depends on your COL bud. I’d expect it to be competitive with other firms though. Just rolled out an LTIP earlier this year too for managers and above.

DM me.

I made the switch from audit to Big 4 Advisory with about 10 years of audit experience.

I can refer you to an advisory role at kpmg. Feel free to DM me

I bet you could do an internal transfer at your firm if you told them you were interested in that.

Thanks but I’m not in Big4, I’m in Internal Audit for an insurance company, that’s not an option here.

Just ask? Not rocket science

I’m not in Big4, I’m in Internal Audit for an insurance company, that’s not an option here.

Best to network first

What advisory? Would prob be a good fit for internal audit type advisory roles. Dm if interested in pwc

I have not been on a project for over 3 months. Since I joined, I have been put in training. The training got extended by a month and now it's close to 4 months since I joined and without a project.

What should I do? People say that I'm lucky to get paid without doing any work, but it is stressing me out. I need the experience. The uncertainty is freaking me out, with rumours of layoffs and the certification program and all.

How do I get into a project? How long do I have to wait more?

Hello,

Long time fishbowl lurker, first time poster.

I work in Healthcare consulting (8 yoe). I'm incredibly passionate about Healthcare and have thought a lot about how to make meaningful changes that keep people healthy and how it can be affordable and accessible to all. I know Google has been operating in the Healthcare market. Anyone here open to connect so I can learn more about its current activities/future plans? I'd like to see if there's a role that I'd be a good fit for.

Thank you!

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

Should I talk to my manager about my plans to go to business school?

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.
Any advice, thanks!

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.
