Lolol they really just put anything on these job listings don't they? Since it's illegal to not list salaries in CA, they should also have some kind of regulation about salary ranges don't you think?
I think that's a classic example where there's a legal requirement to post salary information. So the workaround is to post information that's just useless. In some cases, salary ranges are actually useful, but this looks like some finely crafted passive aggressive legal compliance.
I’m not totally convinced the salary ranges are just to meet legal needs. Although it wouldn’t surprise me either. Was going down the rabbit hole a bit trying to find the specifics of what is required. Surely you’d think this kind of does the opposite of what the law is meaning to fix? Will also be taking the 600k thanks!
I see a lot of Netflix job postings. $90K is the base and the other $500k is from possible increase in the value from stock options.
