They shouldn't, since it's not something that affects your ability. It is true that people sometimes object to tattoos but it should not be a limitation.
That depends on your employer, there are people who are very conservative and take appearances very seriously, it's stupid in my opinion, but let each one with his life.
I think that if it is not in a visible place it would not affect anything, it could be on your forearm but in this job we usually use long sleeves so it should not be an impediment.
In particular, if I pay attention to whether my employees at the veterinary clinic have tattoos or not, many people find it unprofessional and my type of clients are mostly older people.
It is something relative because everything depends on the area where you work and the type of clients that the clinic has, you have to take into account that the acceptance of the client affects the judgment of the employer, so it all depends there is no definitive answer, but in my personal opinion should not affect.
Some may see them as a form of self-expression or art, while others may see them as unprofessional or tacky. Ultimately, it is up to the individual veterinarian or clinic to decide whether or not they will accept tattoos as part of their workplace.
Tattoos are not viewed in the veterinary industry in a positive light. Many veterinarians believe that tattoos can cause skin infections and lead to other health problems, and so it would be best to not get any if this is your chosen career.
It depends on the tattoo LOL if it's something profane or offensive then I would cover it up, but if it's just a normal tattoo I wouldn't worry. It used to be a really unusual thing but a lot of people have ink nowadays and it isn't as shocking as it used to be
A lot of vets have tattoos, some of them are practically covered. I mean, I know he's not a vet but you've seen Jackson Galaxy right? Tattooed to the max and smokin' hot.... whew
The only times I've really seen tattoos limit someone's career are when they are 1.) face tattoos, or 2.) off-color or inappropriate. This goes for the veterinary industry and all other jobs though
More conservative areas of the country will have bigger issues with them. In most places however, they are common enough that people have stopped caring.
