How common is it for companies to offer gym memberships or at least, discounted memberships as part of their benefit packages? The last two companies I've worked for have offered this and it was great but I'm starting a new job next week and I realized they don't offer gym memberships 🫤

We offer through a no-cost discount marketplace.
The company pays nothing toward the memberships and it is entirely handled by the 3rd party discount group.

That said…I think I saw a survey by Mercer that touched on this topic. Will try to find it.

I don't think its honestly all that common. I have only worked at one place that did that and that was because they had a gym on site we could use for free so it was an added benefit. I have never worked anywhere that gives a discounted membership.

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

Do you all feel that the Health Insurance choice is actually all the same? The coverage is absolutely copy and paste for Bronze to Platinum and the deductible/copay is very similar.
I just don’t understand why we have the illusion of “choice” if the offer is the same and it is really bad (in our case).
Going from $61 per paycheck for 2.5k deductible 75% copay to $500+ per paycheck with 500 deductible 85% copay.
Other firms have better health insurance?
