I was under my moms healthcare policy until she lost her job in February. Am I able to enroll with EY even though I’ve missed open enrollment?

Hey,

Does anyone know what U.S. Bank pay grades look like? I recently got an offer for pay grade 11 at 68k per year for an analyst role but now I’m starting to second guess it. The average on Glassdoor is around $77k but the recruiter said their pay range was $64-68k. I countered for $70k minimum but they came back with $69k. A pension is included and a possible annual bonus of up to 5% but I still can’t shake the feeling that I was lowballed.

Hoping there’s some miracle solve I haven’t thought of🤞 🤞. I’m stuck in the permalance gig from hell bc I was stupid and signed up for their insurance so now if I leave I don’t have insurance again until I can get my own in open enrollment in the fall. And of course I suddenly have a ton of medical issues so definitely need insurance. Any ideas of how to escape this?! Other than jump to another company with insurance.

How is your agency managing the war for talent these days in terms of retention? I’m a little at odds with mine where we seem to be giving promotions and higher pay to any and everyone who gets an offer elsewhere. In the long term I don’t see how it benefits us to have talent with further inflated titles running things they aren’t skilled for. It also makes ppl like me who had no intention of looking want to look just because. Curious what others are experiencing/feeling?

How are folks thinking about permanent life insurance? 45, making let’s say for example (not my exact numbers): $1M per year, not yet vested in pension. Was thinking need to replace the post tax take home, about $550k NPV’ed at 5% to age 55, so that’s like $3.2M. Maybe pension is worth $2.5M so I think that means I should have $5.7 total you want death to have no financial impact. Also was going to do $1M of that in perm w/ LTC rider. Sound right?

I’m an associate at a boutique law firm working on complex litigation and regulatory matters. I’ve worked at the same firm as a summer associate and the last three years directly after graduation. I’m worried that I’m not getting enough “practical” experience. I haven’t taken a deposition, only attended two oral arguments, and tend to write parts of briefs or motions but never in their entirety. (Continued in comments)
