What kind of work does MBB actually do? I’m pretty sure there is boring work happening everywhere, but essentially, are your coolest projects cooler than the coolest projects happening at Big Four, Accenture, etc.?

I had cleared all the rounds in S&P and had salary discussion 1.5 month back. The HR is always saying the management is on leave and will soon get the approval and release offer. Today she shas asked for one more week to release the offer. Should I wait for it or move on. Are they waiting for some other candidate to join before rejecting me at last moment. Anyone else HATE the word “full stack developer” in a lot of tech/LinkedI blog posts? the ONLy time I personally feel it is applicable is when it is being used to describe a developer in a specified domain— or more appropriately— for a specific company.

Ie: Amazon is ran by Java, SQL, and AWS for the most part right? so a full stack developer at Amazon would be competent in those “tech stacks”. However— when I see the word “full stack developer” used as a job title to describe broad categories

Since I graduated from CSUN, I’ve been trying to find a job. It was hard finding a entry job software engineering job that requires few years of experience. As a deaf person, many obstacles in my path that I fought so hard to get past them. For instance, they tried to call my videophone, which has an American Sign Language interpreter to pass messages through a webcam and phone call, and thought it was not me. I maybe lose a lot of chances. I wish everything was more easier.

Has anyone ever had to sign a non-compete? The contract I have in an offer has a clause that states I cannot go to a competitor for a 2 year restriction period following my termination of employment. Have you ever wondered if the questions in the HR/behavioural interviews are considerate for people who are extremely literal? E.g. asking a candidate that the recruiter reached out to “why they want to work for <insert big conglomerate here>”. Well, that would be a very weird question to answer without knowing what position/team the applicant is meant to work on.

Would you lie to get an offer from dream company? Let’s say you did pretty good at interview, and the company (Google) is willing to give you an offer, but team lead at the end of interview asks you about GPA or experience on your resume, etc. Like in reality you got GPA 2.0, but u told them your GPA is 3.5 Would you take a risk and lie?
