After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

It seems like a hop at least every 4 years is necessary for growth at the earlier stages of a career.

4 years sound a lot more reasonable,
I don't think job hopping has the stigma that it used to. Especially now that companies are so resistant to appreciating loyalty. It's now normal to switch companies every couple of years, but back in the day, people would stay with a job for an entire career.

True. At my current company, I have colleagues who’ve been there for over 20 years, which feels pretty rare these days.
I’m experiencing this now. I’ve been in the same role for 12 years and have applied to numerous internal roles. I have only received a 2nd interview once. I’m not considering leaving my company because there is no room to advance.

I’d definitely consider external roles at this point. Sometimes it really does feel like switching employers is the only way to move your career forward.

Two years is a good rule especially if it is a repeating pattern.
At my current job 2 years. Been at the company 20 years. Ready to find a new home for my career!
