How do you balance photography with actually being in the moment? I love documenting my travels, but sometimes I feel like I’m experiencing things through a screen. How do you strike a balance between capturing memories and being in the moment?

When I take photos I lean more towards candid snaps and not trying to capture the perfect shot with the perfect filter or lighting. That is just my take. I think the instagram photo bucket list for tourists has ruined the spontaneity and capturing random objects or moments of joy that comes with traveling.

I see something beautiful and worth documenting. I enjoy it. Unless something is going to change it immediately, I take pleasure in the sight, then document it and move on. If I need to snap fast to capture the bird, animal, raindrop, then I snap fast (making appropriate adjustments to the camera) and hope for the best. Then I go back to enjoying the scene. That sounds overly simplistic when I type it out, but I consider photos supplementary to memories or documentation for someone who cannot experience the moment with me.

Will Amex restricting guess access for Centurion Lounge actually make any difference?

I can see short term changes but the way Amex has been aggressively marketing Platinum card, we just will have overcrowding of primary card holders 🤷🏻‍♂️

What's next, everyone has to spend min. 50k a year to get Centurion lounge access or pay per visit.

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

Thank you!!
