How do you guys manage calendar creep without sounding like you’re not a team player? My calendar is a solid block of purple from 9 AM to 5 PM, and yet my boss just dropped a quick sync on my only 15-minute lunch gap. Like c’mon. It’s impossible to actually get anything done. I only do real work for 10 hrs a week.

Is is better to maintain connections w the junior team and how should I go about it w senior management? This is for general networking not that I’m trying to hop to a PE/other org immediately. TIA!

What would you do?
My company contracts a web developer, we have a set amount of hours for the quarter and pay over if more work is needed.
He never gets anything done. Doesn’t answer emails half the time. The one thing he’s done was take out a blurb that threatened our eligibility for patent renewal.
