Anyone else first generation of kids who bought a house to their parents or invested in expanding/renovating family home before buying a home for self?

I realized that there is an entire generation that is first in their family to not only not rely on parents for financial support, but actually supporting parents' way before building their own life, and this is both blessing and a curse. As this generation is the strongest and most resourceful in that family, but also the most exploited.
