How have you all dealt with overwhelm? For context, I am coming back to work after 2 weeks of vacation. Now I don't know which of my 4 workstreams I need to take immediate action on and I feel overwhelmed & seem to be procrastinating in perpetuity. Help!?!?

I use the morning to go through emails and flag what needs attention. Then I get a status on each project and write down what needs doing ASAP and later this week.
I look at the list from each project and determine which ASAP task needs doing the most and start on that one and block out all thought of the others. Once that one finishes, I move to the next ASAP on the list.
When the ASAPs are done, I do the same for the “this week” list.

I got back today after 5 days off of email and came back to a lot of work. I spent about 30 minutes just getting re situated and another 30 scanning email, flagging the important ones. Then I write a list, which includes scheduling followup tasks and wrote on list need to schedule meetings and calls. Then I spent another hour or so taking care of the easy things. That left two bigger projects which rolled over to today.

So it took me almost a full day just to get back to things after being off for a while

I’ve been having insomnia lately (around 1 month). Tried the usual, lighter dinners, no caffeine etc. with no improvement…. Have been taking Focalin for +\- 8 months. I‘m mindful of timing as well to not interfere with sleep my schedule. Now I wonder if switching to Vyvanse or something else might help.

First-gen and new hire in my first job. Vyvanse was typically covered under my parents’ insurance but now I’m looking to sign up for (my first) health insurance plan with my employer. I’m worried if Vyvanse will be fully covered or not. Anything I should look out for?

Has anyone had a Manager that does not work well with your ADHD? Im going through this right now and the way they communicate doesn’t match what I need. If I ask questions, they huff and puff.
