How important is local network for your first promotion post MBA? Except for one 6 week project, every case has been out of other offices. I have a higher utilization than the rest of my cohort, I have had people reach out to me about unlisted projects, as well as people with whom I did prior rejects to ask about my availability, so I believe I am viewed in a positive light . And, if it isn’t that important, does that change after your first promotion? I am TDA and 20 months in.

Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes.
