My firm, a small boutique in the region, is only recruiting on a case-by-case basis this year.

How do you know if this profession is for you? I gave up some hobbies I enjoy during busy season, but have more time for summer hobbies. I don’t want to be like many senior managers in my firm where you stick it out for 10-15 years, then look back with regrets. Welp. Had an interview scheduled for this morning for 30 mins. I join the webex & nothing. Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

Today after HR round with Morgan Stanley they have given me the amount as 2365000 base + 141900 EmployerPF + 354750 Variable + 4.75 lakh relocation.

Now, I am totally confused which one should I proceed as the amount is also beyond expectations from Morgan.
