How likely is it that I’ll get caught working freelance projects on the side? I never work on my freelance stuff on my work computer or at the office, and haven’t told anyone except a couple close coworkers(who are doing the same). Any tips on staying secret/safe?

CTR, contracts and department overhaul

our marketing dept is undergoing a complete overhaul. under old leadership, a $75k 12-mo contract was signed to a marketing group that handles our SEO, blog and everything Google Ads. All things I can and am in training to do. Current CTRs on G ads seem pitiful at no more than 0.75%. My meta ads coast around 4-6%. During this overhaul, would it be wise to not renew our contract, and negotiate for me to take over these roles and leverage a raise?
