Nobody in admin ever wants to talk about retention because in American schools, with or without unions, accountability only goes downstream, never upstream. There should be a single data point for admin. Did you keep 67% or more of the staff originally hired at the beginning of the school year? Pass or fail.
Anything below 85%, not including retirement and my system wants answers, admin get replaced often for that one.
We are in the red. Positions will be redirected where there is need based on certification or cut. Glad I’m done in June.
