I use it very lightly currently. Mostly using it for generating backgrounds or expanding backgrounds and filler. I also use it to generate simple items for ads that could be a time suck to try to find as photo stock. I’m a fairly high level Photoshop user and don’t feel the need to lean on it heavily (yet).
Adobe is great just for using Gen AI for retouching. But I never have much luck when I actually ask it to make anything specific. Leaving the text field blank works best for me.
Midjourney is the best quality. But I only use it for mood boards to illustrate a concept. Dall-E isn’t great. But I probably use it more as I use ChatGPT just for tips on how to make stuff. I don’t have time to surf YouTube tutorials.
Yeah for mockups, storyboards and yes it’s very usual that your Adobe creative cloud comes with firefly
So firefly is the only one you use?
I've never tried to make a mockup with AI, any protips?
I've been tasked with coming up with an air solution to replace/supplement our Getty subscription. We will be generating branded 'photoshoots.'
My Dall-E and Midjourney subscriptions are my own, until I can get the boss to approve a recommendation.
But I was always replaceable. I'm using my own money to maintain an income, in the meantime.
Perspective.
It's part of the workflow, we use it for mockups and pitches— besides PS AI tools. We all share a unique Midjourney account for the agency, not sure what the plan is but I don't worry about the GPU time.
Use it A LOT specially to create OOO scenarios for pitches. Mostly MidJourney mixed with PS Generative Fill.
Our agency did a whole AI week with processes on this. From what we can use for mockups, to what we can use for potential consumer facing work. We are all using AI extensively now from mockups to ideation to production.
Storyboards and mockups absolutely, especially when you're on tight deadlines to get into video production. But as far as final work, I wouldn't use it for lifestyles unless you're altering an existing image. As a creative, I can tell when companies use AI for people to save money, and it's not a good look. If you want to connect with people through advertising, use real people and use AI to retouch/alter if needed.
