Hi fishes! The hiring manager has asked me for salary expectations of B6 Data Analyst and my experience is 3.5 yrs with a CTC of 6.65. Considering I have to move to Bangalore l'm thinking of asking 13 or 14.. is it a big ask? If so, what do you think is a good ask? Please help. Thanks in advance :)

There are also certain things W is better than H/S for: e.g., real estate, healthcare/pharma management, consumer/retail. So really depends on your goal.
It’s also like asking how much better is YLS better than HLS/SLS, yes it’s better but it’s still HLS and SLS at the end of the day
YLS essentially wins 100% admits against HLS/SLS (that’s why YLS has 80%+ yield rate while HLS/SLS are in the 40s/50s), I’m sure similar thing with W if W didnt offer merit. There’s also some perception among incoming law school applicants that the tiering should be more YLS/SLS and HLS being grouped with rest of Chicago and Columbia due to it lagging in clerkship numbers compared to Chicago and UVA.

H/S is Tier 1
W is Tier 2
M7 is Tier 3
Better is super subjective - H/S are the top undoubtedly
I really doubt going to Wharton will bar you from any opportunities in life it just won’t be the standout brand everyone instantly recognises
Having said that these things change - it’s only been the past ~20y Stanford has overtaken Wharton, mostly due to the SF tech growth

Really depends. If you’re aiming for PE/VC, there is definitely a difference, but if you’re aiming for basically any other career, there really isn’t a difference
It depends on what you’re optimizing for. HBS is by far the most academically rigorous mba program (we have all learned so much here) vs my friends at Wharton said they walked away learning basically nothing. The social scene is better at Wharton (since there is such a small emphasis on academics and there is no class on Fridays) and the school is still viewed as good. It has a great reputation and network even tho most mba students view it primarily as a party school. At HBS the academics are so challenging we always joke that we should have just gone to Wharton and had a chill experience
