Seth Godin artfully describes a common ailment - "The Trough of Inefficiency. Question is - What to do about it? Certainly, maximum clarity about WHAT SHOULD BE HAPPENING is essential to closing the gap between that and WHAT IS HAPPENING.

RIP TO MGM CALLS
Hello new friend!
No matter what they pay you, run. Won’t be much anyway. The Orlando office is a complete and utter disaster.
I heard they raised salaries a bit for first years. I would assume a third year would be in the 90s, possibly low 100s
I know they offered a second year $100k to not leave 🤷♀️
They recently raised their minimum salaries. I’m a first year at 85k. The firm has high turnover and they are almost always short staffed. Mr. Cole himself told my office at dinner recently that the firm is going to push to hire about 100 more lawyers. I would take advantage of that need and negotiate something around 110-130k at least. I know Orlando specifically has a lot of turnover and they are very disorganized. Managing partner there can be annoying and they’ve been bleeding partners recently. Place is a mess.
Lol I was trying to be dispassionate, but yeah… I hate it here so much. Looking for the nearest exit opportunity ASAP.
Heard the money and bonuses are great. But hope you plan on living at the office.

73-90 is great for those hours?
I believe you should be in the low 100’s. Between 105-110
I heard first years in Orlando start at 90k as of last year, with a pretty quick increase to 100k in the first couple of months. I would bet you’ll be in the low hundreds, $120k-$135k. I hear it is a sweatshop in the Orlando office though, much more so dependent on your partner.
Don’t do it
Been practicing almost 7 years but over 3 at CSK. I love the partner I work with, but the hours are starting to wear me down at 2400-2500 per year and making $100,000.00.
Also, important note, there currently is not a bonus program in place, as that was axed at the end of 2021.
Damn. I’m a 2nd year and earn $105k. Billables 2k
I made 73 as a first year in Miami in 2019 if that's any help.
105-110 for third years? Interesting. I always thought that the most you could make as an ID associate was around 130. Is that incorrect?
They have raised salaries because of competition and turnover.
