Just how bad is electric heating in terms of cost? Toured a building that has heating in each individual room using those split ac/heat units. They’re are installed on the interior walls and The broker clearly didn’t know what I meant when I asked if they are heat pump style.

Obviously higher than if the building had a radiator and covered it, and will depend more on your buildings insulation.

My building has great insulation and I rarely turn it on. It’s mostly when it’s literally freezing (sub 35 degrees).

I have one and the cost isn’t too bad. About 100 - 120 per month in total. Our apartment is all electric so we don’t pay National grid so I find that it’s been cheaper in comparison to if we paid both gas and electric

It’s a 3 bedroom so there’s 4 of the ac/heat units (including living room) but its just 2 of us living there.

Havent turned ours on yet. Newer building.
