My contact at Microsoft has told me that you don't need to check all the boxes to get interviews.

Depends on the role and level. If this is a L64 they aren’t going to budge . If it’s 63 or below they will be flexible
For my first role they posted 5yoe and were only recruiting 15+ years. I heard from an insider that sometimes they just post the job and don’t carefully look at all the details. They ask HR to make a general posting so it may not even totally reflect the role. At least in my old org. TLDR: shoot your shot

Always wondered, what does ‘product management’ mean exactly?
I’ve found that they focus more on “fit” than yoe. If you interview you and you don’t have the yoe but they still want you, you’ll get an offer.
