How to get Google to move faster in the interview process? I just finished final rounds at another FAANG today and expect a decision by the end of the week. I told my recruiter and she said ‘we can try to move faster when you have an offer’, but I don’t think the other FAANG will give me that much time to make a decision. I’ve just completed 1 out of 4 expected rounds at Google.

Tl/Dr. If you couldn't get hired as a cloud engineer or cloud consultant - you probably can't become a PM

Management consultant evaluating an offer from Google’s Go-to-market team (Strategy & Operations) in India. Two questions:
1. Given it’s an internal consulting role, are the hours equally bad / worse than consulting firms?

Joining Google in a few weeks and assuming I will be moving to the Bay Area sometime this year. For people who have kids, what do you do about schools? My wife and I are looking to buy a place but most the public schools in the South Bay are rated terribly. It’s good to note we don’t have kids yet but are trying to think longer term.
