Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

I may get a mob reaction when I say this but I always wondered why does the firm (and MBBs overall) need to sponsor so many H1Bs for the generalist/integrative roles since obviously there is no dearth of post-MBA and college educated US talent, and MBBs are paying them the same so it is not a cost savings opportunity. I get that expert profiles may need specialized talent and H1B may be needed, but for vast majority of generalist roles at BA and ASC levels, why are so many H1Bs sponsored? Would love to hear some different perspectives on this
TL;DR
Put a poll. Yes, no

H1B here. Had a bunch of personal and firm related travel in the upcoming weeks that I’ll have to cancel
Firm legal has advised all H1B holders to not travel outside of the US until guidance is clarified
It shouldn’t be. $100k per consultant is a very possible fee for McK.
Or maybe they could hire Americans
