I’d mirror bcg 1 - you definitely want to wait a few months until you apply, otherwise you’re throwing your resume in at the worst possible time.
Additionally - it’s definitely possible, we have a lot of ex big 4 folks. One thing to mention though - we really prefer to see a track record of super high performance, especially if you’re coming from a T2/B4. That means that when you do apply, make sure to highlight how you stood out from the rest, especially if you’ve been consistently ranked in the top performance bucket. If you haven’t been rated top performer, spend the time between now and the application getting there and finding ways to demonstrate leadership and impact at your current firm. For what it’s worth, our hiring has come to a screeching halt with extremely few exceptions and I’ve received a ton of outreach from all angles. It’s a very hard time right now to get in.
life in big3 is very good. Getting into big3 from big4 is tough unless you are coming with client base or some unique skillset in demand in specific region. Why don’t you try t2 as well? Less competitive. You got nothing to lose. Just apply on company sites.
