Hi guys :) Glad to join fishbowl and this community. Guys I have an offer of 14.41 ctc from a big 4 (11 is fixed).
Technology-Microsoft Dynamics 365(I am a functional consultant in SCM and HR; Relevant exp: 3 yrs & Total exp: 4 yrs).
My interviews in IBM are done and I am waiting for the salary discussion with HR.
What is the likely offer that I am going to get? Any idea? (My expectation is 16.5 lpa ctc). I will adjust my expectations as per replies here.
Any response is highly appreciated :)

Wait till you get to 'Indian hours'..
Better work life, but lower salaries and higher taxes. Soccer instead of football. You choose ...
I’m based in London. Have done a lot of work in EU and with colleagues from France, Germany, Spain, Italy. Also in US. My experience is that WLB is much better in London (most of the time, depending on the project of course). The work culture in the rest of EU is much more hierarchical, which leads to worse WLB (because people don’t talk/care about it as much). Not sure about big 4, but 45 hours sounds more like industry hours than consulting hours to me. Most likely there’s a big difference between the official line and reality in those EU countries ;-)
Ugh.. "American hours".. Man that's not a great phrase to hear/experience.. lol
Where in Europe? Italy, France and Germany: my understanding is they are very strict on not working more than 35-40. UK thinks of itself as outside of Europe and I'm pretty sure they work closer to American numbers of hours, though not as bad.
I believe the US is pretty unique in its expectations of weekly travel. Other territories, of course, pick up projects that require travel, but I don’t think it’s as relentless and universal as it is in the US
My buddy switched from KPMG US to UK (was associate, got a bump to senior) and he claims the hours are easier, but they staff you on multiple projects at the same time
Working in France and I barely work over 40, and have 7 weeks of vacation. My only rant is that they expect you to travel all over the place. Spending a lot of time in Asia, Middle East and South Africa.
