What's a good place to live to access both downtown and Argonne national lab in Lemont? I live on the far north side of Chicago now, but my partner got a new job and it would be an hour each way by car to commute for him. I work downtown along the red line. Looking for somewhere affordable, not interested in night life or anything but groceries and transit need to be 10 minute walk or less and be safe. Parking at Gurugram office has become a problem big enough to start thinking of another job. It’s so inconvenient to imagine taking public transport in 48 degrees. How can you expect employee to come office and not offer parking or cabs? It’s like employer asking you to work without a laptop.

Should one add their personal technology that are currently used for remote work on their resume? Seems most companies will provide the hardware and software needed. However, it’s unclear if the employer will provide this through Teamviewer/VPN connection or will send an actual computer. Along with this, would it be pertinent to add your internet capability (speed, fios/cable/satellite/dsl)?
