I am currently a Senior Customer Success Manager, with a background in Operations/Process and Project Management as well. How does Strategy & Consulting differ from Business & Tech Integration? It appears to me, looking at the profiles of people in these different divisions, that most of the time at the Consultant-ish level, both divisions are just providing Business Analysts? What am I missing?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.
