I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)

I'm also afraid of confrontation, i find really hard to be " firm" with ppl. I would like some advice to navigate better to this situation and learn how to deal better with people.
Who would you say are the biggest issue, the coworkers or the customers? I'm also an introvert and dealing with both of them can be challenging for me but I have found a few ways to navigate it.
Hang in there. New jobs are always tough when you first start—nobody likes being the new guy. You will get it under your belt, and things will feel easier soon.
I struggled a lot with this as a very shy and very introverted person. What helped me is having tiny pauses throughout the day. If you have a difficult interaction, right after that, take a deep breath, pause, and then greet the next. Also, having some go-to strategies. If somebody comes to you with an issue, listen and repeat it back. I understand you are having a problem with xyz, here’s what I can do to help… Having that script template helped me.

Customer service jobs are hard. I don't know a single person who really like their customer service role. I myself am a customer service employee and it is normal to feel overwhelmed when we confront a rude customer. You should wait and see if you get comfortable with time otherwise, just switching the job will be a wise option.
