I am a salaried servicing advisor with too much education, 8 YOE and no portable book of business. Been looking to purchase a book of business for 1 year with not much success. Advisors either don't want to retire or private equity wins out. Any suggestions on how I can make this happen?

Both me and my wife maxed out company match on 401K but are below the annual limit. What are our options now to take full advantage of the annual limit? Neither of us qualify for Roth IRA.

One of our older advisors is about to retire so his book will be split amongst us junior advisors. What can I do to pitch myself to him and to management to earn the bigger accounts?
